Here's some tutorial/s I've made for you to look at. I don't expect you to follow them, but perhaps they'll encourage you to achieve more. Keep in mind, these were made for KiSS purposes rather than Pixel.
- Make what you love. You love Anime/Manga/Gaming/TV/Novels? Then make sets with your favorite characters. What about a theme for your set too, it could be a good way to get inspired ~ ^^
- Take your time. Rushing things will put you off. Make things when you want to! The outcome will be better.
- Limits. Your set doesn't have to be gigantic just because everyone else is doing it. Small can be interesting!
- Explore FKiSS. You don't have to be a code whiz, but having that little touch could make the bigger difference.
- Be original. Use your own Art to create Templates/Bases from!
- Be creative. Go nutz with your Rainbows and Fantasy Worlds.
- Do what you want to do. Just because others don't like the style doesn't mean you can't post it up. There will be others like yourself with similar tastes ~ ^^
- Making goodies. Could make your work far more appealing and help those whom just can't seem to find a start, so go ahead and through in that extra outfit or extra pose option!
- File format. Pick the right one for the best quality. GIF or PNG, just don't go with JPEG as it will look really icky.
Here is a very basic idea on how I go about making all of my KiSS temps. I do not trace, reference, or anything of the likes. What I see in my head goes straight on the screen in front of me. I also encourage you to do the same, and please, do not go about ripping me off by using this basic tutorial to create the exact same base. You will not learn from copying me, you must create things for yourself as you will not improve your Art just by being a parrot all your life. Be original!
